An important part of our work in the past has been the development of diagnostic and drug discovery tools. We started our company to work on the ArrayPlate assay, a high throughput approach to genomics which can be used for diagnostics and drug discovery. This was sold to start HTG, Inc a very successful company. Later we needed a plate washer for high density microplates and came up with the idea of the Squirt which was developed with SBIR grants and a collaboration with McGraw Consulting. This was sold to Matrical, Inc. (now owned by Brooks Automation). We used these technologies to search for natural products to treat cancer with Dr. Leslie Gunitilaka (U of A). Now we are focused using proprietary technology from Ligntsense Technologies to develop point-of-care diagnostic devices using saliva and breath.
